Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a virus that can infect people of all ages. Most people never have symptoms of CMV. However, the virus can cause health problems for some babies whose mothers become infected with CMV during pregnancy.
Doctors are looking for women 16 to 35 years old to participate in a clinical study for an investigational vaccine. This study will test whether the investigational vaccine can prevent CMV in women who may eventually have children.
This study is open to women who:
- Are between the ages of 16 and 35 years old
- Are around children 5 years old and younger at home or work
- Are not currently pregnant
The study doctor will discuss additional requirements as well as the risks and benefits of study participation with you before you join the study.
